Terms of Service

1.Acceptance

By using aro.day at https://aro.day/, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use aro.day.

2.Service description

aro.day is a personal task-management web app with optional Google sign-in, Google Drive sync, and Google Calendar integration. The core app runs in your browser, with data stored in your browser's localStorage and, for paid users who enable sync, in a hidden per-app folder in their own Google Drive. A free tier is available with no account and no Google connection required; additional features are available under a paid plan.

3.Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use aro.day. To purchase or subscribe to any paid plan, you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. By starting a paid subscription, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

aro.day requests Google OAuth scopes incrementally — each scope is requested only when you opt into the matching feature. The Privacy Policy lists every scope, when it is requested, and what aro.day does (and does not) do with the resulting data. You can revoke any granted scope at any time, either from aro.day's settings (Settings → Calendar → Disconnect, or the equivalent for sync) or directly at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6.Paid plans, billing, and Merchant of Record

Paid plans are sold and processed by Dodo Payments as the Merchant of Record. This means Dodo Payments — not aro.day — is the seller of record for your subscription: they handle checkout, payment processing, applicable tax (VAT, GST, sales tax) collection and remittance, invoices, and refund processing on our behalf. Your payment data is handled by Dodo Payments and the underlying card networks; aro.day never receives or stores your card details. Dodo Payments' own terms apply to the payment transaction and are presented at checkout.

Prices, plans, included features, and any regional pricing variations are described on the aro.day pricing page in effect at the time of purchase. Prices may change for future renewal periods; any change to the price of your subscription will be communicated to the email address you used at checkout before it takes effect, with a reasonable opportunity to cancel before renewal.

7.Subscription term, renewal, and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle depending on the plan you select. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account in the aro.day app or via the customer portal link in the receipt Dodo Payments sent you. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep paid features through the end of the current paid period, after which your account reverts to the free tier.

8.Refunds

If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase by sending a message via the in-app feedback form (Settings → Help & feedback → Send feedback). Refunds are issued by Dodo Payments back to your original payment method. Outside the 14-day window, payments for already-elapsed billing periods are non-refundable, but you can cancel renewal at any time as described in section 7. These refund terms are in addition to (and do not limit) any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer-protection law of your jurisdiction.

9.Trial period

If a free trial is offered at sign-up, your account will receive paid-plan access for the trial length stated at checkout. Trials are processed through Dodo Payments' checkout: a payment method is required, a $0 authorisation charge is made at the start of the trial, and the first real charge is scheduled for the trial's end date. At the end of the trial, your subscription converts to a paid plan automatically unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel any time during the trial via the in-app account settings (Settings → Account → Cancel subscription) with no charge; the trial access continues through the end of the trial period.

10.Your data on downgrade or cancellation

Cancelling or downgrading does not delete your tasks. When a paid plan ends, projects and history that exceed free-tier limits are archived in place, not deleted: you keep access to your free-tier limits, and your over-limit data becomes visible again if you later re-upgrade. If you want your data permanently removed, follow the steps in the Privacy Policy.

11.No warranty

aro.day is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of any data displayed, fitness for any specific purpose, or that the service will remain available. This does not exclude warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, aro.day and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, loss of productivity, loss of profits, or service interruption — arising from your use of, or inability to use, aro.day. To the extent any direct liability cannot be disclaimed, total liability is limited to the greater of (i) the amount you paid for use of aro.day in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (ii) US$50.

13.Termination

You may stop using aro.day at any time; simply cancel any active subscription (section 7), close the tab, and, optionally, clear your browser data. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue aro.day, in whole or in part, at any time, with reasonable advance notice for paid users where practicable. If we discontinue a paid feature you are actively paying for, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period on a prorated basis. Sections that by their nature survive termination — including the disclaimers in sections 11 and 12 — will survive.

14.Changes to these terms

These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The Effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Material changes affecting paid users will be communicated to the email address on the subscription before they take effect. Continued use of aro.day after the Effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15.General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms are interpreted under generally applicable consumer-protection principles. Any dispute should be raised first by email to support@aro.day or via the in-app feedback form (Settings → Help & feedback); the parties will attempt to resolve the matter informally before any other action.
